Privacy Policy
Your data
Last updated August 27, 2026
Runner's Plate is run by one person. This policy explains exactly what gets collected, why it exists, and how to get rid of it. If something here is unclear, email support@runners-plate.com and ask.
What the waitlist collects
When you join the waitlist on this site, we store:
- Your email address.
- Optionally, your answer to what you struggle with around race nutrition, and whether you use Runna. Both are optional and you can skip them.
- The date you signed up.
That is the entire waitlist record. We do not collect your name, location, or anything else at this stage.
What the app collects
The Runner's Plate app requires an account and stores what it needs to calculate your fueling targets:
- Your email address and password, handled by our authentication provider. We never see or store your password ourselves.
- Your first and last name, and optionally a phone number.
- Your bodyweight and preferred unit. This is what the macro math is calculated from, so the app cannot work without it.
- Your running experience level.
- Any dietary restrictions you enter.
- The food you tell us is in your kitchen.
- Your training week: which days you run, how far, your race type and race date.
- The nutrition plans and meals generated for you.
Why we collect it
To calculate your daily carbohydrate, protein, fat, and hydration targets, and to write meals that hit those numbers using food you already have. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Who else touches your data
Runner's Plate is built on third party infrastructure. These providers process data on our behalf:
- Supabase hosts the database and handles account sign in. Your account data lives here.
- Vercel hosts this website and provides basic, aggregate traffic analytics.
- Anthropic generates the wording of your meals. See below for exactly what is sent.
- Microsoft provides the email account we reply to you from.
What is sent to the AI
Meal descriptions are written by an AI model. Your macro targets are calculated by our own code, not invented by the AI. What gets sent to the model is limited to: the date, your training for that day, your carb phase, your calculated targets, the food you listed in your kitchen, and your dietary restrictions.
Your name, email address, and phone number are never sent to the AI provider.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it. Waitlist entries are kept until launch, after which the list is used to send the launch announcement and then retained only if you become a user.
Deleting your data
Email support@runners-plate.com from the address on the account and we will delete it, along with everything attached to it. There is no retention period and we do not keep a copy.
Account deletion from inside the app itself is being added before the app ships to the App Store.
Email we send you
If you joined the waitlist, we send one confirmation email at signup and one more when the app launches. If you have an account, we may send you email that is necessary to operate the account, such as password resets. We do not send marketing email beyond the launch announcement.
Children
Runner's Plate is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Nutrition targets calculated by this app are intended for adults.
This is not medical advice
Runner's Plate calculates general sports nutrition targets from your bodyweight and training. It is not medical or dietetic advice, and it does not account for medical conditions. Talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before making significant changes to how you eat, especially if you have a health condition.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, the date at the top of this page changes too.
